As every year, FireWire was well represented at the annual VISION show in Stuttgart November 3-5.  A distinguished group of systems suppliers ranging from Point Grey and Allied Vision to Newnex and Component Express demonstrated their latest products, and Eqcologic was well represented with its advanced coax solutions.  Allied Vision demonstrated its Guppy Pro FireWire-equipped camera, while Point Grey Research featured its Grasshopper Express 1394-equipped camera and other popular systems.

Component Express and Newnex showed 60-meter S800 coax cables with standard FireWire connectors, with transceivers embedded into the cable about 5 cm from the 1394 connector.  The S800 capability was supplied by Eqcologic.
