Networking IEEE 1394 Clusters via UWB over Coaxial Cable—Part 2: L3 IP Bridges

This technical specification standardizes the model, definition, and behaviors of L3 IP bridges, devices that connect isolated IEEE 1394 clusters across a network backbone that is not IEEE 1394—in this case, it is coaxial cable. The L3 IP bridge extends the Internet protocol capabilities of IEEE 1394 devices and the isochronous services of IEEE 1394 beyond the geographic extent of a local IEEE 1394 cluster.
